The Journey of Bima Properties Group

Bim Sahdev, who is the President and CEO of Bima Properties Group

I began my journey when I moved from Punjab, India in 1982 and got involved in the banking industry working with a very wide-scale Financial Institution and in that capacity, I had the responsibility for the Banking Sector’s real estate investments on behalf of U.S. and overseas investors.

Over the next decade, my passion would start to grow more in the Real estate Construction/Development side as I saw real growth and potential in this industry. In 1994 I would move on from the banking industry and go on to create my first Joint Venture partnership with some very close family to buy our single family construction project in Vancouver, BC and form Bima Properties Group Ltd.

Over the next 25 years, my company would go on to build close to 300 homes with a mixture of Single family, Duplexes, Fourplexes, Townhomes and Condominiums. But for me to have achieved this from starting out with me building a single family home to multiple homes would not have happened had it not been for fostering relationships with Joint Venture Partnerships, Investors and Financial Institutions over the years.

There is never an easy journey in Real Estate Development, but I have always believed that honesty, integrity and having the right intentions for others has always gone a long way for my investors who have believed in what I can do for them and the customers that have gone on to purchase a Bima Built home from our company. With Real Estate markets always changing, it has been my core belief that building efficiently designed homes in strategically located neighbourhoods with the the highest quality has always yielded success for our investors and for the homeowners who go on to purchase them.

The concept of helping others grow is one of the most important things that I view that has helped shape our company today. I continue to enjoy helping many of the new potential investors that I meet today so I can help them achieve strong financial returns on many of our various development projects we will be starting. I have even successfully created Joint Venture partnerships with various land owners to help further maximize there value through the development process. As my father once told me many decades ago, a man may grow old but the business of providing value to your customers will never grow old. That has always resonated with me and will always continue to do so.
